Report from February 28, 2024
Back into the backcountry searching for that grade-A California corn today.
It was easily found.
The views were nuts.
The snow was perfect corn.
The company was splendid.
I was so tired.
Today was 6 outta 7 days in the backcountry for me.
The skin track was straight the F up and it crushed me…
I skied a chute that I’d skied in early February and it was more filled in now and had so much more flow.
It also had a fun rock maze and a couple of rock pops.
Feeling very grateful.
A 10-foot storm is forecast to roll in here tomorrow and completely bury this place in deep, blower powder.
We’re all stocked up and ready to hunker down, ski, and smile.
Thanks, California.
