The Legendary Cowboy Bar In Jackson Hole, WY Is Being Sold

According to the JH News & Guide, the legendary Million Dollar Cowboy Bar in Jackson Hole, WY is being bought by the owners of The Wort Hotel. Baxter Properties, owners of The Wort, is acquiring the bar from Carol & Art Andersen, who purchased the bar nearly 30 years ago.

“We will take over on Jan. 2,” Baxter principal Bill Baxter told the Jackson Hole News & Guide.

The price of the bar wasn’t released, but the soon-to-be owners aren’t planning on making any major changes to the iconic bar. The Cowboy Bar has been around since the mid-30’s and in 1988, the Andersen’s purchased it. Even though there will be new owners, this place isn’t going anywhere.

“It has been a great honor and a pleasure to have been the caretakers of such an historic and iconic bar,” Carol Andersen said in a press release.
