“Itโs October, but the recent storm left some pretty solid accumulations up high in the Sierras.
While lower elevations saw mostly rain, we knew that up high and along the crest weโd find 1-2 feet of heavy snow, which was plenty enough to ride.
On Tuesday, 10/18/2016, Will and I headed out to the local Mammoth first-storm stash and we scored.
The conditions were a bit firmer than expected, but by noon the snow had softened up into a nice wind buff.
Here are a few shots from the day, gotta love October skiing!
