Report from July 28th, 2019
What an amazing closing day at Mammoth Mountain.
There was awesome corn skiing off the top and the operations team has been working hard moving snow around just to keep operations going.
Mammoth serves as a shining example of how a mountain should operate.
I wish that other mountains in the Sierra Nevada could follow suit and do their best to keep Chairs spinning.
Mammoth even gave away coffee & donuts this morning at McCoy Station today.
โWinterโ 18/19 Closing Day is upon us this Sunday, July 28. Get to the hill early for coffee, donuts, and giveaways at 7:30AM in McCoy Station while supplies last. The gondola to the summit and Face Lift Express (Chair 3) will be spinning from 7:30AM-1PM.
Mammoth saw 718″ of snowfall at the summit and 492″ of snow mid-mountain in 2018/19.
Mammoth will open again in about 100 days in November.
Thanks, Mammoth!
