Report from March 16, 2025
Monarch Mountain, Colorado, reported 10 inches of snow over the weekend.
Despite strong forecasted winds on Sunday, pleasant weather prevailed, and great times were had.
Operations remained normal, with all lifts running and all-terrain zones open to shred.
The mountain was busy, with spring breakers and locals enjoying the warm weather and fresh snow.
As always, a โbusyโ day at Monarch translates to five-minute lines and fresh tracks all day.

With two friends new to Monarch, we hit every run off of Panorama, enjoying deep powder and fun hits every time.
The Sheer-Rocko, High Anxiety, and Zipper Cliffs continue to fill in, with some areas unrecognizable from just a month ago.
My long-time freeriding friend pushed the limits on Zipperโs bigger cliffs, and I even followed on some lines.
Monarch does very well at separating terrain zones by difficulty level.
Although the lift was busy, many beginners enjoyed fresh corduroy on Skywalker, leaving fresh tracks and uncrowded slopes beneath the lift all day.
We stopped at the lodge for some San Luis Mac nโ Cheese, an instant classic for my friends.
They were so impressed by the mountain, and we decided to get back out there and ski for the rest of the day.
Breezeway was not too breezy and served soft groomers and fresh lines off Shagnasty.
We ended the day having fun beneath the Pioneer and Garfield lifts.
We enjoyed fantastic snow until the very last run of the day when we explored the trees and found the almost-buried secret hut.
Monarch and the rest of Colorado have appreciated the much-needed snowfall in March.
Monarchโs snowpack is 104%, and 24 inches of snow have fallen this month.
Additional light snowfall is forecasted for the next week and into the weekend.
The Wings Pass for the rest of this season and next is on sale now, as are renewal passes for the 2025-26 season.
