While some parts of the United States are still sweltering in temperatures in the low 100s, there are some locations that are getting ready for winter. Banff Ski Resort located in Alberta, Canada, received its first dusting of snow this week and three days later, Oregon joined the club.

Mount Bachelor, Oregon, received its first snowfall at its summit Pine Marten, according to the resortโ€™s social media accounts.ย It is exciting news for all skiers and snowboarders who have been patiently waiting throughout this summer for cooler temperatures.

The resort will move to fall operating hours starting September 3 and will not operate mountain biking trails and lifts from Monday to Wednesday. The fall operating schedule will be in effect until October 6.

The 2024-25 ski season is less than 100 days away from some ski resorts around the United States. It is that time of the year when people start finalizing their ski trips for the new season and tuning and waxing their equipment. It will not be much longer until weโ€™ll all be on the slopes again. Let the countdown begin!
