In the age of mega passes, skiers and snowboarders have many options for purchasing a season pass. Some passes allow holders to ski at tons of resorts throughout the country. Some passes are regional and individual season passes to a single resort for all the die-hard locals. These passes can be expensive, but they are worth the savings for the skier or snowboarder hitting the slopes all season. One ski resort offers a season pass that few others can compete for in terms of price. That ski resort is Mount Bohemia in Michigan.

A one-year season pass, excluding Saturdays, costs only $99 plus a $38.00 service fee and pays for itself in just two days. That is a tough deal to ignore, with some season passes of over $1,000 in the ski industry. A one-year season pass is good Sunday through Friday during the 2024-25 ski season. The pass also gets you year-round access to the Nordic, except Saturdays during the months of January through March. There are no refunds; they are not transferable, and you cannot upgrade after purchase.

  • Extreme Backcountry: A half-mile-wide forest with chutes and small and big cliff drops throughout this area. The extreme backcountry has the most popular glade runs on the mountain. Skiers take the bus after arriving at the bottom.
  • Haunted Valley: A Northside glade system that usually has the best snow on the mountain in the spring.
  • The Graveyard: The lower section of the Haunted Valley is the best place to find powder several days after a storm.
  • Outer Limits: Remote backcountry section with long-gladed terrain featuring rolling topography. Some of the deepest snowfall hits the outer limits.
  • Middle Earth: The far eastern section at Bohemia is about 2 miles from the base area. Middle Earth gets excellent snow and has the longest runs at Bohemia.
  • Little Boho: Bohemiaโ€™s newest area is, in fact, a whole other ski hill. Little Boho, while smaller than Bohemia, provides some of the steepest terrain on the mountain. Customers find Little Boho at the back of the parking lot and then do a short hike to the top of Little Boho. When you reach the bottom, the bus will pick you up.

The average snowfall in Michiganโ€™s Keweenaw Peninsula is 273 inches. The lake effect snow is dry, similar to western resorts, and accumulates as powder, which is untouched because we do not groom. This makes for a great morning to make the first tracks. Mount Bohemia is unlike any other ski area in the Midwest. Much terrain is advanced or expert-only, even by โ€œRocky Mountainโ€ standards. It is hard to beat the cost of paying only $99 for a season pass when resorts charge well over that for a single-day pass. If you are a skier or snowboarder looking for a deal on a season pass, Mounta Boehemia is the mountain to check out.
