Montana State University has a stationary camera that caught a skier triggered avalanche on January 14th, 2016 on the Football Field just outside the boundaries of Bridger Bowl ski area, MT.
The Football Field is famous for avalanches.
“The camera captures two skiers in close proimity to fracture and avalanche. ย The skiers initially appear below the cloud layer. ย The skiers stop moving downhill as moving snow passes by them. ย The skiers then move into the skier area boundary and are met by two other skiers.” ย – Montana State University
“Montana State University’s Snow and Avalanche Lab’s MS student Diana Saly captured this avalanche event with our time-lapse camera a few weeks ago.” – MSU
