The NOAA just released their updated outlook for the month of July, and boy, it’s only good if you like the dry and the heat.
The majority of the country can expect above average temperatures, especially the North East, California, and the west coast of Alaska.
If you’re hoping for rain, then, unfortunately, it’s not good news. Arizona looks like having the best chance of rain with a much higher than average chance, and the south-east, Florida, Georgia, Alabama have a good chance too.
So, what does that mean for drought areas? Across a large part of the country, drought conditions will persist, if not worsen. One sliver of good news, drought conditions have a good chance of improving in Arizona, the area most likely to receive rain.
