The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for California. It’s in effect Today – Sunday night. High winds and heavy snowfall are forecasted to impact the area throughout this time.
Two rounds of snow are expected to impact the area. The first round will persist through early Saturday. The second round is forecasted to occur late Saturday through Sunday.
The heaviest periods of snow are forecasted to occur tonight and again Saturday afternoon – Sunday morning.

“Another weekend, another round storms expected for the region. There will be 2 waves that move through the area that could impact you or your travels, so we have created a handy timeline for you. So, if you live somewhere the snow is beginning to pile up, you may want to make preparations now.”

The highest accumulations are expected to occur above 7,000ft.
The 6-10 day outlook calls for above average precipitation and below average temperatures in California.
