The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Montana.ย Itโ€™s in effect from 2:00am Friday Morning โ€“ 2:00am Saturday Morning. This is just the start, as a weekend of persistent precipitation is in the forecast.

Snow is forecasted to fall above 5,000ft throughout this spirt of precipitation, but snow levels are expected to drop throughout the weekend as more snow moves through.

2 AM MST SATURDAY ABOVE 5000 FEET...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches
ย  are expected, with 5 to 10 inches at higher elevations.

* WHERE...Madison, Meagher and Gallatin.

* WHEN...From 2 AM Friday to 2 AM MST Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, including
ย  during the morning commute on Friday. Be prepared for reduced
ย  visibilities at times. Additional winter weather hazards are
