Itโ€™s been seven long seasons since the lifts were spinning at Norway Mountain in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. After a year of progress updates, skiers and snowboarders in the Midwest can rejoice over the good news: Norway Mountain will officially reopen for the 2024-25 winter season.

This past week, the Facebook page Skiers and Snowboarders of the Midwest posted several aerial pictures and videos from around Norway Mountain. They also shared that massive improvements have been made, including a new snow-making system, all new rental skis and snowboards, and even some new terrain to enjoy. Mountain crews have worked hard throughout the year preparing lifts and clearing terrain for this upcoming season.

In addition, Norway Mountain revealed more exciting news this summer: It is joining the Freedom Pass. The Freedom Pass offers three days of skiing or riding at more than 20 independent ski areas across the United States.

With all of the recent improvements to lifts, terrain, and snowmaking, as well as the addition of the partnership with Freedom Pass, Norway Mountain, Michigan, is soon to be back better than ever. Stay tuned for updates on the resort’s Facebook and TikTok, and start (or keep) doing those snow dances!
