More than five months after his horrific ski accident, Aleksander Aamodt has made his return to skiing. The Norwegian skier was spotted at SNØ indoor ski center in Lørenskog, Norway.

”It’s been a long way to get where I am today. It’s been a rollercoaster. I am now back to a normal existence. But it’s not enough to win the race. Now I’m at a level where Im thinking about coming back as an athlete again.”

Kilde suffered a devastating crash on the Lauberhorn race course during the FIS World Cup in Wengen, Switzerland. The speed specialist suffered extensive damage to his shoulder and a laceration to his calf. A couple of weeks after the accident, Kilde admitted that he was unsure whether he would return to competitive skiing. Seeing the Norwegian ski racer back on skis is at least an indication that he is on his way to return to ski racing but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

SNØ is Norway’s only indoor ski center and offers 262 feet (80 meters) of vertical across 0.6 miles (1km) of ski trails serviced by two ski lifts. Lørenskog is on the outskirts of Oslo, Norway’s capital city.
