The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) is preparing for a vibrant season of fall festivals across its venues that include the Lake Placid Legacy Sites, Gore Mountain in North Creek, and Belleayre Mountain in the Catskills. From Oktoberfest at Whiteface to Gore Mountainโs Harvest Festival and two weekends of Brews & Views and Fall Festival at Belleayre, thereโs something for everyone to enjoy.

Oktoberfest
September 21-22
Whiteface Mountain, Wilmington, N.Y.
Each fall, Whiteface Mountain hosts Oktoberfest, a weekend-long Bavarian-style event featuring authentic music, dancing, food, and beer. The festival will include performances by die Schlauberger, The Adlers, Schachtelgebirger Musikanten (Scha-Musi), and Alpenland Taenzer dancers. Family-friendly activities include craft vendors, pumpkin painting, kids’ entertainment by the High Peaks Jugglers, bounce houses, and scenic gondola rides.

WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series

Mt Van Hoevenberg
Watch world-class mountain biking races and explore the Expo at Mt Van Hoevenberg featuring unique crafts, exclusive merchandise, live entertainment, local products, and food and beverage. The BETA Community Bike Jam on Friday, September 27 will take place at Midโs Park and include BMX stunt shows, live music and UCI Mountain Bike World Series athletes in attendance.

Path Through History Weekend

Lake Placid Olympic Museum
The Lake Placid Olympic Museum will host a Path Through History Weekend event where visitors of all ages can participate in an Igniting Dreams Craft Activity and the Touch-A-Torch Program. Attendees will have the opportunity to create their own torch while learning about the design and overall significance of the Olympic Games. The 1980 Lake Placid and 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Winter torches will be on display, allowing visitors to hold them and learn about the history of the Torch Relay.

Flaming Leaves Festival

Olympic Jumping Complex
The Flaming Leaves Festival at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid offers entertainment, competition, and family activities. While the prominent USA Nordic National Championships is taking place, attendees can enjoy live music, dancing, and various beer and food vendors, all set against the backdrop of colorful fall foliage. The SkyRide Experience and Sky Flyer Zipline will be available for added enjoyment.

Fall Festival โ Brews & Views

Belleayre Mountain, Highmount, N.Y.
The Belleayre Fall Festival features family-friendly activities, including live music, kidsโ entertainment, craft vendors, food sampling, and scenic gondola rides with views of the Catskill Mountains. Running concurrently with the Fall Festival, Brews & Views takes place at the Discovery Lodge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.each day. Attendees can sample craft beers and cider from local breweries while enjoying live music and food sampling. Limited $50 VIP packages are available that include one pour, a commemorative pint glass, a T-shirt, a free gondola ride, and a pretzel.

Harvest Fest
Gore Mountain, North Creek, N.Y.

Harvest Fest will feature Scenic Skyrides showcasing the peak foliage adorning Goreโs four mountain peaks, alongside a lively craft show with a variety of local artisans and makers. Activities include hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, live music, and other family-friendly entertainment. Choose between the open-air Adirondack Express or the enclosed Northwoods Gondola, with both rides available on the same ticket. Food and drinks will be available throughout the weekend.
