Personally, I think skiing in the PNW is underrated. Yeah, the mountains aren’t super tall, the snow’s a little heavier, and there’s that pesky rain to deal with, but it’s a small price to pay for huge base depths and tons of cool terrain. I have some great memories of skiing around Mount Hood.

The photo of Crystal Mtn. is so unrepresentative, I gotta call B.S. That shot was near first light when nobody but patrol teams are about. Was also taken off a side-shot descending into Mt. Rainier National Park that I know well. Can’t legally drop that anymore unless you can afford the consequences. Assuredly, it’s outside the rope-line. Why can’t anybody use a “real” photo with terrain the normal ski consumer will ever see? Can we say sensationalism?
It’s all about the stoke.
Kinda like all the vid’s showing accomplished big mt skiers on terrain that no one can ski but them………………………………………..and then “getting the public” to think everyone can do it.Stoke is overrated…….it’s ONLY for corporations trying to skim you of your $$$$
