Palisades Tahoe, California, is an unparalleled spring destination, boasting the longest skiing and riding season in Lake Tahoe. There is much to love about spring at Palisades Tahoe, from the corn snow and crazy events to live music and aprรจs afternoons, once again proving why the resort is the official Spring Skiing Capitalยฎ.

Signature Spring Events

Palisades Tahoeโ€™s fan-favorite spring events are back, drawing crowds from near and far.

NEW Town Race League: Kicked-off on March 5, is the brand new Town Race League Series, where local racers of all levels come together to compete on Juliaโ€™s Gold Run (named for Olympic Gold medalist Julia Mancuso). This community competition is perfect for skiers and snowboarders looking to challenge themselves and showcase their skills. This series will continue every Wednesday through April 9 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. with a new theme each week and prizes for the best-dressed racer.

Pain McShlonkey Classic: The Annual Pain McShlonkey Classic returns to Palisades Tahoe on March 22 or a day full of belly laughs, camaraderie, and philanthropy in celebration of the legendary skier Shane McConkey. This all-day event coincides with International Snowblade Day to create an iconic day with a Hot Dog Downhill, awards, a huge raffle, and more!

The Mothership Classic: The Annual Mothership Classic is a pledge-driven event held each Spring on the worldโ€™s greatest chairlift, KT-22. Participants begin by gathering pledges and on March 23, each participant will challenge themselves to hot lap KT-22 as many times as possible from first chair to last on skinny skis, retro snowboards, mono-skis, snow blades, etc. All funds raised go directly to the healing efforts of athletes that have suffered life-changing injuries via The High Fives Foundation.

NEW Toyota U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championships From March 27-30, come and watch the top competitors from the U.S. Mogul Freestyle team take on moguls, dual moguls, and aerials on Red Dog Face at Palisades Tahoe.

Snow Golf Tournament: The 39th annual Snow Golf Tournament returns to Alpine on Saturday, April 19 from 9:00 a.m. โ€“ 2:00 p.m. as teams compete across the only top-to-bottom snow golf course. The ten-hole tournament tees off at the top of Summit chair and ends at the Chalet for a mid-mountain, Caddyshack-themed afterparty. Registration is free, groups of four are encouraged as space is limited, and prizes will be awarded. The date is subject to change based on weather and conditions.

Easter Events: On Sunday, April 20, join Palisades Tahoe for a day of fun events for all ages. The Easter bunny will be skiing around passing out chocolate eggs. Thrill-seeking skiers and snowboarders wonโ€™t want to miss the annual Golden Egg Hunt! Hidden at both Palisades and Alpine, the Golden Egg contains a 25/26 Palisades Tahoe season pass. Clues will be shared on Twitter and Instagram stories throughout the day, challenging participants to use their knowledge of the mountain to uncover the elusive prize.
Join the Alpine Ski Patrol team at noon for the annual Beacon & Eggs event. Participants can search for buried avalanche beacons in a one-acre area, with the chance to redeem them for prizes including gift certificates, gear, and a 25/26 Palisades Tahoe season pass.

Earth Day: Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival returns to The Village at Palisades Tahoe on Saturday, April 26 for one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the area. This free community event takes place from 11:00 a.m. โ€“ 5:00 p.m. with opportunities for the whole family to learn about recycling, composting, renewable energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities. The festival will feature live music, a trashion show, raffles and educational booths.

Cushing Crossing: The 33rd annual Cushing Crossing, the original pond skim, returns on Saturday, May 3 from 1:00 p.m. โ€“ 3:00 p.m. Under the critical eye of five celebrity judges, the bravest skiers and riders attempt to traverse Cushing Pond while sporting their best costumes. Participants can compete across several categories โ€“ Ski, Snowboard, and Unlimited (any other apparatus of ski and snowboard origin) โ€“ including a special prize pack for the winner. The date is subject to change based on weather and conditions. Registration takes place on the morning of the event.

Spring Tracks featuring 220 Kid, G. Love, and KT Tunstall: For the first three Saturdays in April, come to the KT Deck and join in the fun at Palisades Tahoe for our free music series, Spring Tracks! On Saturday, April 5, Spring Tracks kicks off with a free live performance by 220 Kid. On April 12, you can dance to a bluesy, hip-hop performance by G. Love. Come back on April 19 to see the Grammy-nominated KT Tunstall take the stage for second time ever at Palisades Tahoe.

Made in Tahoe: Made in Tahoe returns to Palisades Tahoe on May 24 -25 from 11:00 a.m. โ€“ 5:00 p.m. to celebrate the wares inspired by the Lake Tahoe Basin or made by local artisans, businesses, chefs, organizations, and entertainers. Explore and experience this rich community full of talented creators while enjoying a variety of local food and beer, with all drink proceeds benefiting the Tahoe Food Hub.

Ticket Deals & Ikon Pass Spring Access

Experience the Spring Skiing Capital with several new seasonal ticket deals:

  • Learn to Ski and Ride Special: On April 5 and 6, take advantage of this special program designed for first-time skiers or snowboarders. For $119, guests will receive: a 2.5-hour beginner lesson, a limited beginner lift ticket, and rental equipment. With morning and afternoon lesson times to choose from, this special is available at both Palisades and Alpine Adult Ski Schools and Kids Ski Schools. Tickets can be purchased here.
  • Spring Ticket Trio Sale: Share the spring love and ski or ride any three days this spring for just $152/day, valid through the end of the 24/25 season. Use all the tickets yourself or share them with others, as all tickets are transferable. The Spring Ticket Trio can be purchased here.
  • 25/26 Ikon Pass Spring Access: Skiers and riders who purchase a full 25/26 Ikon Pass can start using it at Palisades Tahoe on Monday, March 31. Ikon Base Pass holders can join in the action on Monday, April 7.
  • Ikon Pass Slopeside Lodging Discount: Stay close to the action. Ikon Pass holders save 20% off lodging Sunday-Wednesday and 25% off Thursdays in The Village at Palisades Tahoe.
