Report from February 7, 2024
Got up and out on KT-22 at 9am.
No lines.
Dead Tree.
Wasn’t great.
I was hoping the big wind of the morning would have blown things in better.
Dead Tree skied poorly with old frozen hummocks of snow between wind-blown patches.
I went home after one run.
Brandon came over and chilled with me most the morning then talked me into going back out around noon.
We met up with Owen Leeper and Costas.
The noon to 2pm shift was good.
Chute 75, Tom’s Tumble, and Dead Tree were skiing well by then.
No lift lines all day.
Wind-buffed with a bit of new snow.
These kinds of powder days with no one around are very special here.
You can ski great runs until your legs give out.
It snowed moderately all day.
The upper mountain should be pretty good tomorrow if the sun comes out…
Thanks, California!
