Report from March 18-21, 2024
Monday and Tuesday were fire here at Palisades Tahoe.
Silverado open, terrain park perfect, good snow all over.
Yesterday, Wednesday, was cooler and windier with firmer snow.
Today was windier and firmer again but we figured out where some really fun skiing lived.
Monday, we went nuts in Silverado and the Gold Coast terrain park:
Tuesday was essentially a repeat of Monday with some spicy Silverado laps then some wildly fun park 360s and backflips.
Palisades skied well from wall to wall on Monday and Tuesday.
Yesterday was a bit windy and cool and I was tired.
I skied until 1pm and didn’t find anything very soft and called it a day.
Folks who skied deeper into the afternoon said that the snow did soften and the park jumps were good.
I spent some of the afternoon at Olympic Boot Works getting my new Lange Shadow boots dialed in.
The team at Olympic Boot Works is incredible.
We also met up with some friends visiting from Australia at Le Chamois and I had a whole 1/4 of a beer!
Today we went sniffed for good snow all over the mountain and found some in Broken Arrow and then late in the day off KT-22 in the sunshine.
It’s been a stellar week of skiing here at Palisades and now were waiting on the storm forecast to roll in this weekend.
The current forecast is calling for 8-14″ of snow this weekend.
Thanks, California!
