Another year, another X Games Slopestyle, with rails, huge airs, and an incredible opportunity for the world’s best to showcase their skills. With skiers from the likes of Colby Stevenson, Mac Forehand, and Alex Hall, the competition was stacked and all athletes put on a show for Aspen and the world to see. Slopestyle is especially impressive in contrast to other competitions as it requires the athletes to diversify their talents with rails and big airs. This year it was Luca Harrington’s time to shine in his first X Games, clinching his first-ever gold medal. His first X Games performance shocked the crowd and the judges with incredible fluidity and trick choice with a switch triple cork 1620 on the final jump. This incredible line topped Luca’s competitors like Andri Ragrettli and Mac Forehand who also put up a very competitive performance, scoring 90.66 and 88.33 respectively. This performance solidified him as an X Games invitee for years to come after being an alternate before the beginning of the competition.
