Vail Mountain, CO, celebrated its 60th anniversary on Thursday, December 15th, 2022, and was gifted the perfect amount of smokey cold powder snow that fell on the resort allowing for a midweek opening of the legendary back bowls.
The plumes from every turn all around were overhead and lasted all day.
The hoots and hollers echoed throughout the vast terrain of the White River National Forest, and the lift lines were uncharacteristically nonexistent.
Happy Birthday, Vail.
