Report from February 8-9, 2024
Revelstoke, British Columbia, just keeps getting better the higher you go. Itโs day seven in a row, so we thought we would treat ourselves to a slower pace and try a hike.
The top of Mount Mackenzie was stunning. Sitting beyond the subpeak, Mackenzie (8,058 feet) looks down on the north bowl leading to the Ripper or to Highway Bowl (and a climb out). The hike from the Stoke to the summit was under a thousand vertical feet and gave us a chance test our lungs going uphill. It was well worth the 45 minutes it took.
Day seven was sunny in Revy and the visibility allowed us to find some choicy lines. But as the day grew longer, things were looking like they could use a refresh.
We are very excited to check out Big White (Kelowna-area) tomorrow. Then we will return to Revy on Sunday for a storm.
