Yesterday we got out at Revelstoke Ski Resort in British Columbia, Canada.
This is one of my homes away from home.
Iโve spent many months here over the years and just being here makes me happy.

We rolled onto the hill about 9 a.m. yesterday.
They saw about 4 centimeters of new snow overnight.
The upper mountain was foggy so we headed straight into the trees.
Classic Revelstoke skiing:
- Foggy
- Soft bumps in the trees
- Long, leg burning runs
This mountain will make you strong.
Thereโs no faking it here.
All the runs are long and steep.
We skied until noon then skied 5,620-vertical-feet down to the base and into the Sutton Place Hotel for lunch.
Revelstoke is putting us up right at the base of the gondola and we are forever grateful.
We made breakfast burritos and toast for lunch and headed back out at 1:30 p.m.
We skied until closing at 3 p.m. and even ran into our buddies Aaron & Lucas.
I had more spunk in the afternoon and had a blast challenging myself skiing the tree moguls as fast as I could.
Oh, and the exchange rate is amazing here right now.
- 1 USD = 1.44 CAD
Thanks, BC!
did they ever start grooming more often? last time there, they groomed seemingly one day a week, e.g. friday night to get ready for saturday. awesome when groomed, snow like a foot the day prior, hence hike to top, get ~1000 ft of powder, then a 5000+ ft of corduroy all in one run on a mountain with a great pitch. take a note from the euros gents, that run and pitch is baller skiing on fresh tracks. great january spot if it has been snowing consistently.
