Report from January 16, 2025

Today I bumbled out into the Revelstoke, BC, sidecountry in a snow squall with local legend JJ Vinet.

At times it was snowing and blowing hard but it didn’t last.

We scooted out to the selected zone and things looked fun.

JJ guided me around showed me the goods.

Tree-bombs had littered the landscape making for challenging, fun skiing.

JJ had no issues.

He bounced and glided and stayed forward through all of it making it look easy.

I jumbled and hooked up and skied backseat through all of it.

We found some good snow towards the bottom and linked some good turns together.

From the bottom we climbed out and headed home talking of the sunny skies to come.

The next 3 days might be sunny and it should be a very good time.

Thanks, BC!
