King Pine Ski Area, New Hampshire, is an independently owned ski area committed to offering affordable family pricing. It has 17 trails which offer alpine, Nordic, and uphill skiing. It also has an outdoor ice skating rink and slope-side lodging, which is unique for a mountain of its size. This spring has come fast and hard for some ski resorts, with many planning to close this week. King Pine is not done with winter yet and has activities planned until the end of March.
King Pine has some amazing ski deals and fun events to wrap up the season. The resort has various activities to close out the season that will be fun for the whole family. King Pine End-Of-Season Traditions:
- St. Patrickโs Day Ticket Special: Monday, March 17: Enjoy $17 afternoon half-day tickets, a tavern toast, and the opportunity to discover Traditions Restaurant & Pub, which offers amazing dinner St. Patrickโs Day specials.
- Spring Fling Ticket Special: Wednesday, March 19, 9:00 a.m.: Buy One, Get One Full-Day Ticket every Wednesday in March this season (two Adult Full-Day tickets are $55).
- Intro to King Pines Race Team: Saturday, March 22, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: If your child has ever expressed an interest in ski racing, weโve got the perfect opportunity to learn more. Join current coaches, parents, and participating racers for a fun-filled informational session including time in your boots and skis on the hill! Best of all, there is no cost to participate (note: a valid lift ticket or season pass is required).
- Aprรจs Upstairs Featuring Chris Torrey: Saturday, March 22, 3:00 p.m.: Live music in the Trails End Tavern! Note: Must be 21 years or older with valid ID to purchase alcoholic beverages. Parents must accompany under-age children at all times.
- Cardboardbox Derby: Sunday, March 23, 1:00 p.m.: Enter King Pineโs Cardboard-Only Box Racer (for two or four people) with your own theme and race down the special โcourseโ to the cheers of the crowd. Registration opens at 11 a.m., entry line-up and style judging at noon, and runs begin at 1 p.m.

- Pond Skim: Sunday, March 30: Come make a splash on the final day of our ski season. Skiers and riders attempt to cross the man-made pond at the base of King Pine. Costumes are recommended, and good times are required. Lifts will run until 4:00 p.m.
- Wild Corn Backcountry Shindig: Saturday, April 5: A two-day backcountry bender and a mountain takeover is just what you need to put this winter season to bed and welcome the best of all seasons, Corn Season. Wild Corn Shindig kicks off at King Pine Ski Area in Madison, NH. In its 9th year, the event draws over attendees from all over to support the GRANITELAND glade network. Wild Corn has something for everyone, whether youโre new to uphill touring or a seasoned backcountry enthusiast. This is a total mountain takeover where ALL the lifts are shut down creating a backcountry ski resort for your enjoyment. If you donโt have uphill gear, there are tons of demos on site for you to try, from boots to skis to split boards. The Shindig has it all: endless uphill laps, live music, contests, giveaways, dance parties, great food and drinks, and more. We love to bring the uphill community together to harvest our favorite crop โ springtime corn!
