SilverStar Mountain Resort, BC, announced that it will extend its ski season by a week until April 16, 2023. Award-winning SilverStar is one of British Columbia’s largest ski resorts, with 3,282 acres of skiable terrain. The Canadian resort has seen its second-best snow season in a decade, with 275 inches (698 cm) of snowfall to date.
SilverStar Mountain Resort is located in the heart of British Columbia’s Thompson Okanagan region, 55 minutes north of Kelowna International Airport. The airport had a runway extension in 2008 and is serviced by various Canadian and American airlines, such as Air Canada, Flair, Swoop, Alaska Airlines, and WestJet.
The extended lift operations schedule for the final week is as follows:
Monday, April 10th
- All lifts and trails operational.
- Tube Town 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, April 11th
- Comet and Silver Queen operational 08:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Tube Town and upper XC Trails closed. Gondola/Discovery Carpet closed.
- Putnam Creek (Powder G and HRT) and Silver Woods lifts and areas closed for the season. Alpine Meadows Lift closed for the season.
Wednesday, April 12th
- Comet and Silver Queen operational 08:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Tube Town and upper XC Trails closed. Gondola/Discovery Carpet closed.
Thursday, April 13th
- Comet and Silver Queen operational 08:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Tube Town and upper XC Trails closed. Gondola/Discovery Carpet closed.
Friday, April 14th
- Comet and Silver Queen operational 08:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m.
- Tube Town operational 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Upper XC Trails closed. Gondola/Discovery Carpet closed
Saturday, April 15th
- Comet, Gondola, Silver Queen, Discovery Carpet operational 08:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Tube Town Operational 12 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Upper XC Trails open.
Sunday, April 16th
- Comet, Gondola, Silver Queen, Discovery Carpet operational 08:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Tube Town Operational 12 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Upper XC Trails open.
Monday, April 17th
- Mountain is closed for the season
