It’s official: SnowBrains and Distant Brewing are partnering to create a limited-time SnowBrains Session IPA.ย SnowBrains CEO & Founder Miles Clark visited Distant Brewing in Mammoth Lakes, California, to come up with a Session IPA that draws inspiration from Miles’s favorite beers, including IPAs from the beer capital of the worldโBariloche, Argentina. Miles has spent the past thirteen summers skiing in Bariloche, a town that is home to some of the best skiing in the world and over 50 breweries. The result is a smoother IPA with less bite and a little less alcohol.

The Brewing Process in 8 Basic Steps
- Crack the barley and put in it into the first tank.
- 650lbs of barley and hot water go into the first tank.
- Filter out the seed material.
- 2nd tank: boil hot barley water and sterilize it then add hops.
- A heat exchanger cools the ‘wort’ (hot barley hop water) to 60ยบF.
- 3rd tank: add a brick of yeast and ferment for 2 weeks (Yeast: Feed, Fuck, Fart, as the brewers like to joke!)
- After 2 weeks, take out the yeast and add in “dry hops” to make it hoppier.
- Once the flavor is right (checked by tasting) pour the finished product into kegs and enjoy.ย
