2023 was absolutely insane in Lake Tahoe, CA.
Ski resorts saw over 700″ of snow.
At times we were snowed into our houses with no snow plows, no highways open, no ski resorts open, no stop signs showing anywhere, pure bedlam and we loved it.
I ended up in the backcountry quite a lot due to the ski resorts often having huge blocks closed and some crowding due to the closures.
The backcountry was otherworldly last year with deep blower powder being the norm.
The insanity started in December and didn’t end until April.
