Squaw Valley, CA just saw 18″ of new snow in 48-hours and the skiing has been sublime.

Today the snow was smooth, a bit heavy, and damn fun.

We started out on KT-22 and the snow felt deep out there.

Deep enough for a huck or two.

After a few laps on KT we rolled up to Siberia for a couple of laps before the Reverse Traverse opened admiting us into the Headwall zone.

The Slot was suberb.

Top to bottom fresh tracks on the most consistent slope at Squaw.

After 3 Reverse Traverses we zipped over to Alpine Meadows for a few Keyhole laps.

Keyhole was steep, soft, consistent, and very fun.

We literally didn’t see anyone else out skiing around at Alpine.

Felt like a private ski resort.

NOAA has issued another Winter Weather Advisory that is calling for 4-10″ of snow on Saturday night.

This winter just won’t stop in Tahoe.

Squaw has now seen over 700″ of snowfall this season with more on the way.

A Winter Weather Advisory calling for 4-10″ of snow has been issued for tonight.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 3
  inches, except 4 to 10 inches above 7000 feet with the highest
  amounts near the Sierra crest. Winds gusting between 50 and 85
  mph over exposed ridges.
