Report from December 20th, 2019
Brought to you by Visit Reno Tahoe
Today was a stellar day at Squaw Valley, CA.
The wind was ripping up high which was blowing snow onto the north and east faces making them buttery in spots.
Most runs weren’t top to bottom goodness, but many of the runs we found were mostly buffed out and damn fun.
We even kicked in a little booter and did a handful of backflips each which really got us pumped up.
Squaw’s terrain is just so strong.
There really is something for everyone, every day, in every mood.
Headwall was our favorite run of the day although I thought Granite Chief skied great as well.
KT-22 was holding some real nice wind-blown snow and that chair is what you need this time of year to get those ski legs in shape.
Tomorrow looks like another real fun wind-buff day and it’s looking like we’ll get somewhere around 5″ of snow on Sunday which should make the holiday week just right.
We couldn’t be more fired up to be back at Squaw on the best inbounds terrain on Earth.
