Mammoth, CA Conditions Report: 2,100-Vertical Feet, 5 Lifts, 10 Trails Open

Mammoth Mountain opened yesterday (November 5th) with fantastic riding conditions all day long and today was more of the same. Today the mountain ran 5 lifts: Panorama Lower and Upper, Chair 1, Chair 3 and Chair 11 and had 10 runs open including two runs off the top! With low crowds today, fast groomers, some really nice chalky off-piste areas and bluebird skies it was truly an awesome day up on the slopes.

Mammoth Report: Nuking Snow Storm Day

A storm has been forecast to hit Mammoth all week and today, it came forth with fury. The day started off with light snow in town about 8am with no wind. By the time we got up onto the mountain around noon, the snow had already piled up somewhere around 1-3″ deep and the intensity of the snow kept ratcheting up. By the time we left the mountain today at 1:30pm, it was full-on nuking on the mountain and felt a helluva lot more like mi-February than May 14th.
