2 Foot Powder Day in Bariloche, Argentina: As Good As It Gets

Today was a great day at Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina. The snow was about as good as it gets here. It snowed hard and blew hard yesterday leaving us with up to two feet of semi dense, wind-pressed snow. The kind of snow you can open it up in, but can still speed check in anytime. It was also good for hucking provided you had a steep landing. It didnโ€™t give much on flat landingsโ€ฆ I started the day with two laps on the mellow terrain Punta Nevada [โ€ฆ]

14โ€ of New Snow in Bariloche, Argentina Today | Photo Tour

Today was a stellar day at Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina.  14โ€ inches of new snow had fallen over two days and the upper mountain had been closed for two days (Sunday and Monday). Today started windless, cold, and clear.  Catedral got most all chairs running right at 9am.  The boys headed straight up to La Laguna knowing it [โ€ฆ]

Flipping GOOD @ Bariloche, Argentina Yesterday | Upper Mt. Opens After 2-Day Storm Closure

this report is for yesterday, August 16th, 2013 Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina was closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to extremely high winds and a decent storm.  The snow level was at about 1,500 meters (about the top of the Sextuple) which wasnโ€™t ideal for the lower mountain, but the upper mountain was great.
