Telemark professionals Paul Kimbrough and Jake Sakson, have dominated the telemark freeride scene for the past half-decade. These backcountry ski film stars, made famous in the Powderwhore movies, have dedicated themselves to developing telemark technique, avalanche awareness and backcountry travel skills.

“We traded podiums for years,” Paul confirms, “we both wanted to win the competitions so we kept pushing ourselves to become better skiers. The friendship we formed competing and backcounty skiing together is more important than the rivalry now.” He adds, “Our camps will help telemark skiers of all ages refine their skiing so they can have more fun on the slopes. We are motivated to share what we have learned through years of dedicated skiing together.”
Jake emphasizes that “Good telemark skiing doesn’t only take practice and understanding, it requires a deepening of the mind-body connection, hence the inclusion of yoga and meditation as part of the curriculum.” Although the duo remain dedicated to helping people progress, they haven’t lost sight of the true purpose of skiing.
