Get ready to break out your snowblades and dress in your goofiest costumes imaginable for another unforgettable day full of shenanigans and shredding in honor of Shane McConkey.

On March 23, 2024, The Annual Pain McShlonkey Classic, commonly referred to as โ€˜PMSโ€™, returns to Palisades Tahoe in California. Spots to participate in the race are limited; only the first 60 people to raise $100 through the Shane McConkey Foundation crowdfunding campaign reserve their entry. The crowdfunding began on February 1, 2024.

For years, amateurs and pros have competed in “the greatest ski competition known to man or woman” chasing the most prized award in all of skiing: the Golden Saucer. Last year, Donny Pelletier and Wendy Fisher won the race, claiming bragging rights and the 2023 Golden Saucer.

The Pain McShlonkey Classic coincides with International SnowBlade Month, celebrating the camaraderie and general radness of Shane  and the surrounding skiing community. The Shane McConkey Foundation has donated nearly $1 million since 2011 to causes that benefit wildlife preservation, environmental education, kidsโ€™ health and wellness, land and waterway cleanup, and projects that directly impact the Tahoe-Truckee community.
