Throwback Thursday: Searching for Snow in Alta, UT

Jesse Cassidy |

Itโ€™s Thursday, and hence its everyones favorite day to reminisce on the past with the classic #throwbackthursday. We here at Snowbrains thought we would get on the Throwback Thursday Train and highlight some of our best videos from last season, and with roughly four months to go before winter here in the Northern Hemisphere, weโ€™re all itching for snow. This week we take you back to January, where Tahoe saw little snow and people began to seek alternatives. Eric and Tydel make the trek out to Utah last January in search of snow, and found just what they were looking for at Alta.

Alta is one of the last remaining mountains where you can show up days after the storm, and still find snow that is essentially untracked. And once the snow is tracked out, it remains smooth and holds natural hits around every corner. – Eric

  1. Jeez, can’t believe this was January! Seems like not that long ago.

Come on back to SLC and I will play the part of your Snowbird tour guide again. Hopefully with better conditions for me to work with showing you around to the stashes.
