A new week, a new top 7 — and we have had some shuffling around this week!
Which resorts have the most snow right now? Here is the top 7 for the European Alps:

#7 Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France
The iconic ski area of Chamonix Mont-Blanc is back in the top 7 with 4.5 meters (15 feet) of snowdepth at peak. Chamonix is one of the best European resorts for expert riders. Riding or skiing down Mont-Blanc should definitely be on everyone’s bucket list. Please be aware that avalanche danger remains at Level 3 and the resort warns that there is a persistent fragile under layer, which can cause spontaneous avalanches.

#6 Le Grand Massif, France
Le Grand Massif had dropped out of the top 7 but is back in after receiving half a meter of snow. Le Grand Massif is in France and is located in the Haute-Savoie region and is one of France’s largest interconnected ski areas. The resort faces the famous Mont Blanc and boasts 152 ski runs for beginners and experts alike, serviced by 64 modern ski lifts.

#5 Stubaier Glacier, Austria
Back in the top 7 is Stubai Glacier, the largest glacier ski area in Austria, with a snowdepth of 4.85 meters this week. Stubaier Glacier is known for its excellent freeride terrain, with 14 dedicated freeride runs and an off-piste map

#4 Alpe d’Huez, France
Unchanged at #4 is Alpe d’Huez this week with 4.9 meters (16 feet), up 30 cm (12 inches) from last week. The highest peak in the Alpe d’Huez ski area in France is the Pic Blanc, reaching an altitude of 3,330 meters (10,925 feet). The ski run from Pic Blanc is the longest black run in Europe, called Sarenne, which is 16 kilometers (10 miles) long. Ski lifts at Alpe d’Huez will stay open until April 21, 2024.

#3 Avoriaz/Portes du Soleil, France
Avoriaz in France is in #3 with 4.92 meters (16 feet) after leading the top 7 for several weeks. French resorts got overtaken after several snowfalls at the Swiss-Italian border. Avoriaz is together with Morzine and Montriond part of the world-famous Portes du Soleil ski area.

#2 Flims Laax Falera, Switzerland
Flims Laax Falera has been bumped down to second place but is still at an impressive 5 meters (16 feet) of snowdepth this week after a massive storm hit the south of the Alps. Snowdepth at Flims Laax is up 32 centimeters (13 inches) from last week. The resort is typicaly open until mid-April, so it’s not too late to plan a ski trip to make the most of the great spring skiing. The resort has another 9 inches in the forecast for the next five days, so what are you waiting for?

#1 Saas-Fee, Switzerland
We have a new #1, jumping from fourth to the top after receiving a full meter of snow since last week: Saas-Fee in Switzerland. Saas-Fee has 5.5 meters (18 feet) of snow after having a top up of 1.44 meters (57 inches). The entry road to the resort was closed off due to high avalanche danger but reopened on Monday evening at 8 p.m. Please note avalanche danger in the area is very elevated and lift operations will be limited for safety reasons.
