Report from the weekend of 22-23 August 2020
This past weekend I had the opportunity to enjoy some much-needed lake time at Lake Arrowhead, CA.
Lake Arrowhead is located in the San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,108 ft. It may be smaller and not as well-known as its neighbor, Big Bear Lake, but itโs smaller town vibe is whatโs always brings us back.
Every summer, myself and some close friends always make a point to spend a weekend at the lake. We werenโt sure if weโd be able to make our annual trip with summer, but with a little extra planning we were able to make it work.
We spent every minute we could on the lake, and Iโm still coming home wishing I had more time. The weather on Saturday up there was picture perfect. The air temperature was in the mid-80s and the water temperature was right around the mid-60s. From stand-up paddle boarding to swimming to simply just hanging out and enjoying great weather and great company, I couldnโt have asked for a better day.
We capped off the day with a BBQ, plenty of cold beverages, and good times. To top it off, the sunrise the next morning was next level. I always do my best to get up and see a sunrise when Iโm up at Lake Arrowhead, with the sun rising perfectly across from our cabin. Hereโs to another successful Lake Arrowhead trip, Iโll be seeing you again soon enough.
