As millions of people, including thousands of Belgian skiers and snowboarders, prepare for their winter getaways, Uber is making it easier than ever to reach Europeโ€™s top alpine destinations. Many Belgian skiers begin their journey from major transport hubs such as airports and train stations in Brussels, Antwerp, Liรจge, Gent, or Charleroi before traveling to their ski destination. From now on, once they arrive in one of the seven European countries where Uber Ski operates, they can easily book a ride to their ski resort at a fixed price.

Available in France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Sweden, Uber Ski allows riders to book a vehicleโ€”equipped with ski and snowboard racksโ€”at the tap of a button. Whether youโ€™re heading to the mountains or returning after a week on the slopes, Uber Ski ensures a stress-free journey.

Uber Ski provides direct, affordable transfers from key airports and train stations to more than 90 ski resorts, from the French Alps to the Swiss peaks. Fixed-price fares start from just 49โ‚ฌ  ($51.10) for up to 5 passengers, and you can reserve a ride up to 60 days in advance.

The new travel product has launched in response to rising demand for Uberโ€™s services in winter tourist hotspots across Europe. Data from winter 2024 shows demand from international customers more than doubled in resorts like Val Thorens and Courchevel in France, Sรถll in Germany, Kitzbรผhel in Austria, and Gstaad in Switzerland. Last year, almost half a million international travelers, including many Belgians, opened the Uber app in popular ski destinations. While British, American, and German tourists represented the largest share, Belgian skiers are also among the growing number of travelers using Uber to simplify their winter trips.

โ€œWe know how much Belgians love skiing, with many traveling to the most popular ski resorts to enjoy a week in the fresh air. Rather than driving long distances by car, Uber Ski offers a convenient alternative for Belgian skiers heading to their ski resort. They can take public transport, especially trains, before seamlessly continuing their journey with Uber from the station to their ski resort. Belgians are increasingly looking for flexible and convenient mobility solutions, and Uber Ski is the perfect way to complement their winter travel plans,โ€ Laurent Slits, General Manager of Uber Belgium, said in a press release.
