Upcoming Weather Patterns

The weather pattern is shifting, with future storm systems bringing moderate to heavy snowfall across the Rockies and Intermountain West. For the Wasatch range, moderate to heavy snow is expected from late January 10 through the 11th, tapering to light snow on January 12. The Tetons will experience heavy snowfall from the evening of January 10 through the 11th. Colorado resorts will see light snow on January 9, moderate snowfall on January 11, and lighter snow again on January 12.

Season Totals and Forecasts

Several resorts continue to build impressive season totals. Big Sky in Montana will see light snow on the morning of January 9, followed by heavy snow from late January 10 through the 12th. Interior British Columbia is expecting moderate snowfall on January 10 and 11. Meanwhile, the Sierra Nevada remains relatively quiet, with no significant snow accumulations expected.

Northeast Outlook

The Northeast will see periodic light snowfall with minimal accumulations. Light snow is forecasted for January 9 and 11, with another potential system bringing light snowfall from January 14 through the 15th. No major storms are expected for the region during this period.
