Summary of Key Highlights:

Upcoming Storms: Three storm systems moving in:

  • First System (Oct 28-30): A combination of low-pressure systems will begin affecting the Inner Mountain West, bringing moisture and snow.
  • Second System (Halloween to Nov 1): Another storm from the Pacific Northwest will follow closely.
  • Third System (Nov 2-4): A further low-pressure trough is expected to deepen and bring significant snowfall.

Forecast Details: Dry conditions will prevail for 72 hours, but moisture will increase as the first storm approaches.

By October 29, widespread snow is forecast across Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. The storm’s track has shifted slightly south, enhancing snowfall potential for the Continental Divide and Front Range.

Snow Accumulation Predictions: Light snow is expected today through Oct 28, primarily in the Pacific Northwest.

Due to favorable upslope conditions, Colorado could see 8 to 12 inches of snow in key areas from October 29 to November 3. The Tetons might receive 5 to 10 inches, while California will see significant snow only with the third system.
