Winter Storm Brings Heavy Snow to Western U.S.

A major winter storm system has arrived in California, bringing significant snowfall to the Sierra Nevada and beyond. The storm is expected to impact multiple ski regions across the Western United States, with some areas potentially receiving several feet of snow.

Powder Days Ahead for Presidentโ€™s Day Weekend

Ski resorts across the West are gearing up for excellent conditions over the Presidentโ€™s Day weekend. The forecast indicates a big storm front-loading the weekend, followed by a second wave for some areas towards the end of the holiday period.

Regional Snow Forecasts

Various regions are expected to receive substantial snowfall, with some adjustments to earlier predictions. The Wasatch, Tetons, and parts of Colorado are anticipating significant accumulations, while other areas like Montana and the Pacific Northwest are also in line for fresh powder.

Northeast Not Left Out

Ski areas in the Northeast are also expecting snow, with multiple systems moving through the region. Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and parts of New York could see considerable accumulations over the coming days.

Ongoing Storm Pattern

The jet stream pattern suggests continued stormy weather beyond the initial system. Skiers and snowboarders can look forward to potentially more powder days as additional storm systems are forecasted to move through the Western U.S. next week.
