Montana Department of Transportation crews are encountering 18 foot tall drifts while attempting to clear the Beartooth Highway in Montana.
All the snow on the highway is a great sign for the summer skiing that the area has to offer.
“Crews made it up to Upper Quad on the Beartooth Highway! Here’s some video from yesterday, April 23, 2019. They are into the tallest part of the drift in this area, which is in an unusual spot compared to previous years. They estimate the drift at about 18 feet tall!”
