Snow was falling today at the base of Alpine Meadows Ski Resort in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. The base of Alpine Meadows is at 6,835 ft.

It wasn’t supposed to snow to Lake Level today, but IT DID! Lake Tahoe had snow on the high peaks this morning and down to lake level this afternoon. Lake Tahoe’s elevation is 6,225 ft.
There is a winter weather advisory till 11 p.m. today for the area.
