Report from December 16th, 2019

Brought to you by Alpenglow Expeditions

Last night Alta reported 5″ of new snow.

It felt a lot deeper than that out there.

The new snow was akin to lint in density, i.e. absolutely blower.

It didn’t hurt that the high was about 15ยบF today.

After a great morning at Alta, we zipped out into some mellow terrain for a quick backcountry lap.

I say mellow because avalanches are happening all over the Wasatch right now including an avalanche fatality yesterday.

Therefore, we kept it mellow and kept it real fun.

We ripped one lap in spectacular snow and were smiling ear to ear.

A lot of hoots were hooted.

Can’t wait for the rest of this week.
