The ski season rolls on and continues to impress with additional snow and new terrain openings. With snowfall totals close to 300 inches on the upper mountain, on some parts of the hill, cliffs and features at Kirkwood have all but disappeared that were above the surface just two weeks prior. That’s just plain crazy!
We started our day like any other…sessioning all aspects of Chair 6 like Chamoix, Oops & Poops, The Funnel and The Fingers and then moving on toward Chair 10 to eventually make our way to the Backside. On virtually every aspect, the snow around the mountain was perfectly smooth and chalky. Around mid-day we ventured into Boulevard Chute yielding bomber snow and an aesthetic line. The only gripe of the day was the flat-light encompassing our travels around the ski field, however, the fun terrain and strong crew made every run a pleasure to endure.
The forecast is calling for more snow…
Gracias El Nino!
