Mary Jane, the popular territory within Winter Park, is set to open for the season on Friday, December 2 at 9 AM. The announcement comes with up to 6 inches expected to fall on Friday followed by another 4-6 inches through Monday. With significant early season totals stacking up as December rolls in, this is yet another positive indicator of a great start to the 2022-23 ski season.

Although the resort has not announced which trails will be open on Friday, the staff at Winter Park are working diligently to open up as much terrain as possible. However, they did communicate via multiple social media channels that Super Gauge Express, Galloping Goose, and Iron Horse chair lifts will be running to kick off Mary Jane’s season. This will add an additional 75 acres to Winter Park’s early-season total, giving skiers and riders significantly more terrain to choose from.

Winter Park also communicated on Facebook that more terrain in this area will continue to open periodically as more snow accumulates. Mary Jane is typically some of the last terrain to remain open in Colorado in the spring, and this announcement points to a very long season ahead for the popular Grand County ski area.
