Winter Park, CO – Winter Park Resort is donating $40,000 to Grand County Search and Rescue from their new uphill program. Uphill skiing is becoming more and more popular – both on the resort and in the backcountry. Due to the increase in popularity, Winter Park Resort requires uphill users to purchase an armband. This year, the uphill armbands raised over $40,000, which will benefit Grand County Search and Rescue.
Sky Foulkes, Winter Park Resort‘s COO and President, remarked:ย
“Winter Park Resort is honored to make this donation to GCSAR. Thousands of people venture out in our mountains and wilderness every year, and when search and rescue services are needed, itโs a relief to us and to adventurers of all abilities to know there are people who are trained and ready to help.โ
