A female snowboarder was rushed to hospital after she plummeted from a ski-lift at Perisher Resort in Australia earlier today.
The woman spent more than three minutes dangling from the chairlift on Monday afternoon as others shouted for assistance, 9News reported.
Patrollers rushed to the scene and attempted to open a trampoline beneath her in time to protect her from the fall, but from the footage, it seems the woman was unable to hold on long enough. The woman lost her grip and plunged to the ground, with her snowboard still attached.
The impact was hard enough for the woman’s helmet to fly off. Her condition is currently unknown.
Perisher will conduct an investigation into the incident.
