Taos Ski Valley will host the World Pro Ski Tour World Championships, fromย March 30 – April 3, 2023. The 2023 World Pro Ski Tour consists of eleven races in total, eight menโs events, and three womenโs events.ย The prestigious event is Americaโs foremost professional alpine race tour where athletes race side-by-side in an elimination-style format.
The tour kicked off in January in Steamboat, CO, and continued at Bear Valley, CA, in February, and will continue on the East Coast before finishing at Taos, NM. Professional skiers, World Cup athletes, and Olympians from around the world have been competing in the World Pro Ski Tour. The current leader in the Menโs standings is Simon Breitfuss Kammerlander from Austria and Erin Mielzynski from Canada for the women. Both are ex-World Cup skiers and Olympians. They both competed at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Kammerlander represented Bolivia in both 2018 and 2022 as his father was coaching in South America for many years and Simon obtained Bolivian citizenship.
