Mt. Rose ski area in Lake Tahoe, NV just announced a hour ago that they will be opening this Wednesday, November 4th, 2015.
“Just Announced: Opening Day Wednesday, November 4th! With a strong winter storm about to hit, Mt.Rose Ski Tahoe will open for the season this Wednesday. Terrain, prices, and all other details are still to be determined based on conditions. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to Wednesday!” – Mt. Rose today at 4:oopm
NOAA has issued a Winter Storm Advisory for Mt. Rose ski area that is effect today and tomorrow and is forecast to drop 1-2 feet on the ski area.ย Mt. Rose’s base is at 8,620-feet.ย They should get a decent amount of snow out of this system.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 1 FOOT OR MORE ABOVE 8500 FEET WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS AROUND 2 FEET. 4 TO 7 INCHES AROUND 7000 FEET INCLUDING ECHO AND DONNER SUMMITS. 1 TO 3 INCHES AT LAKE LEVEL. - NOAA Reno, NV
Opening day has a 20% chance of snow showers at Mt. Rose, but the rest of the week is forecast to be sunny and nice.ย This should be a great week of skiing at Mt. Rose, NV.
Mt. Rose has not released any details of what will be open nor how much lift tickets will cost, but we’ll let you know as soon as they do.
