A ski resort employee at Eldora Mountain, CO reportedly found a snow boot that had human remains in it yesterday. The employee reported the finding to authorities at 4:30pm yesterday.
“The employee had been working in a clearing near the base of the mountain when he discovered a single snow-style boot. When he examined the boot closer he observed what he believed to be human remains inside.” – sheriff’s office said in a news release.
In January, Eldora employee Ryder Johnson, 20, was reported missing. He was never found. The sheriff’s office said today that the remains are not those of Ryder Johnson.
A foot and lower leg bones were in the left men’s Rugged Outback snow-style size 13 boot. The boot is described by sheriff’s office as “wet and weathered.”
Authorities are currently searching for more human remains in the Eldora Mountain area.
